The Empty Bowls Project

Helping to Feed People in Need

Wednesday, December 4th, 5-7:30 PM, WCHS East Cafe'

Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to fight hunger. The basic premise is simple: student potters and other craftspeople, educators and others work with the community to create handcrafted bowls. You are invited to a simple meal of chili or veggie chili prepared by our Threshold Restaurant. In exchange for a $10.00 donation, guests are asked to choose a handmade bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the community. The money raised is donated to an organization working to end hunger in our community.

This year the Warren Central High School, Fine Arts Department along with the National Art Honor Society, all other MIC schools and Herron School of Art and Design will be hosting an Empty Bowls dinner on Wednesday, December 4th, 2019, in the Warren Central East Cafeteria from 5-7:30 p.m. Our goal is to include an educational component to raise awareness, have a silent auction and give the money raised to an organization helping to feed people in need. This year the money raised will benefit Old Bethel Food Pantry.

Tickets are on sale for $10.00 at the
WCHS Bookstore, Old Bethel UMC or at the Event
