We did it! We completed the longest month of the school year!
A #WarrenWill shout-out to our students, families, and staff for a great start to the school year! As we complete our first few weeks of the school year, I want to extend both an appreciation and an invitation to our Warren parents and caregivers.
First, the appreciation. Over the past several years, Warren has experienced six consecutive years of progress on IREAD-3, significant improvement in K–12 attendance, and two consecutive years with graduation rates in the 90s. These accomplishments are worth celebrating, and they do not happen without the support, encouragement, and engagement of our parents, caregivers, and families. Thank you!
Now comes the invitation.
I am personally inviting every Warren parent, caregiver, and family to be an active part of your child’s learning journey. We need your support. We need your involvement. We need your input and feedback. Most importantly, we need your partnership.
Successful students have strong support systems, and one of the most powerful things we can do for our children is ensure that the adults in their lives are working together. When families and schools work side by side, students thrive!
We are going to have some opportunities for parents and caregivers to be engaged in the coming weeks.
Family Engagement Summit: Real Life, Real Parenting: Partnering for Student Success
On Saturday, September 12, we invite our Warren families to join us for our in-person Family Engagement Summit: Real Life, Real Parenting: Partnering for Student Success from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM at Creston Intermediate Middle School.
This free event is designed to provide parents and caregivers with practical resources, strategies, and support to strengthen the partnership between home and school. Lunch will be provided, along with childcare for students in grades K–6.

Our keynote speaker will join us virtually and will be streamed live in the Creston Auditorium. A separate registration is required for the keynote webinar, so please be sure to complete both registrations.

Elementary and Middle School Boundaries
The second invitation is for our families with Kindergarten through 7th graders. To ensure we have adequate space for our 5th graders in our elementary schools next school year, we will need to adjust our school boundaries for the 2027-2028 school year. This will impact our 9 elementary schools and our 3 middle schools. It will not impact our high school students.
On Monday, September 28, from 6:30–7:30 PM at Creston Intermediate Middle School, we will share the first proposed set of elementary and middle school attendance boundaries with our families and community and provide an opportunity to ask questions and share feedback.
A second opportunity will be held on Tuesday, September 29, from 6:30–7:30 PM at Stonybrook Intermediate Middle School for families who would like to review the proposed boundaries and provide input.
All elementary and middle school families are invited and encouraged to attend either or both meetings. Your feedback is an important part of this process, and we look forward to hearing from our families as we work toward finalizing attendance boundaries for the 2027–28 school year. Boundary maps will also be in buildings during parent teacher conferences.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
The third and final invitation is to participate in our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 1 and 2. These conferences are an important opportunity for families and teachers to connect, review your child’s first-quarter progress, celebrate successes, identify areas for continued growth, and look ahead to the remainder of the school year.
Additional information about Parent-Teacher Conferences will be shared by your child’s school in the coming weeks. However, you do not have to wait until October to connect with us. If you have a question, concern, or simply want to check in on your child’s progress, please reach out to your child’s teacher and schedule a conversation sooner.
